SOULCRY
A broken soul. A hundred floors. Fights built to feel like an animated action short.
An Android-first stickman action game built around hand-authored combat poses, brutal contextual techniques, weapon mastery and a 100-floor Tower.
SOULCRY in motion.
The problem SOULCRY solves.
SOULCRY is built around one rule: the fight should look like an animation you are controlling, not a row of attacks being triggered. Quiet grief, sudden violence, readable silhouettes and heavy impacts define the tone.
The red warrior moves through black-silhouette enemies with parries, ripostes, grabs, throws, aerial chains, close-range gun-fu and weapon-specific techniques. Players can build their own combo style and carry a three-weapon loadout into each fight.
The long-form challenge is the Tower: 100 increasingly hostile floors with elites, trials, guardians and a final mirror-rival, the Azure Wraith. SOULCRY is currently in active Android development.
Built around a few things done well.
Combat that reads like animation
Anticipation, hit-stop, follow-through, directional reactions and contextual techniques make every exchange readable and physical.
Build your fighting style
Choose and chain techniques into custom styles instead of being locked to one fixed combo string.
Weapon mastery
Fight with blades, pole weapons, throwing weapons, chains and close-range firearms, each with its own handling and techniques.
Climb 100 floors
Tower floors scale through trials, elites and guardians before the final fight with the Azure Wraith.
Grief into rage
The visual language moves between still, mournful beats and explosive red-on-black violence.
Android-first
Landscape mobile controls, performance modes, safe-area UI and Google Play release systems are being developed together with the combat.
